    • This will was proved at London the twenty first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine before the worshipful William Compton doctor of laws and surrogate of the right worshopful George Isay, also doctor of laws, master keeper or commissary of the progatative court of Canterbury,lawfully constituted by the oath of Roger Enever the son of the deceased and sole executor named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, he having been first sworn duly to administer.

    • I, Roger Ennever of Loughton in the county of Essex, blacksmith, do make my last will and testament as follows. First, I give and devise unto my eldest son William Roger Ennever and his heirs all that my customary or copyhold messuage or tenement wherein I now dwell with the smiths shop, stables, outhouse, building, yards,gardens, orchards and appurturances thereto belonging, to hold the same unto and to the use of my said son William Roger Ennever, his heirs and assigns forever, but in case my said son shall die under the age of twenty one years then I give and devise the said messuage or tenement, hereditments and premises untoand to the use of my second son John Ennever his heirs and assigns forever and it is my will and mind that my wife Ann Ennever shall have the use and enjoyment of my said messuage or tenement, herdits(sic) and premises until one of my said sons shall attain the age of twenty one years without paying any rent for the same in order to enable her to bring them up and educate them, I give to my said wife Ann Ennever the dividends and interest of all my bank three per cent annuities until my three children, William Roger Ennever, John Ennever and Elizabeth Ennever shall attain their respective ages of twenty one years, and when and as they shall severally attain that age, I give to my said son William Roger Ennever one hundred and fifty pounds, part of my said bank annuities. To my son son John Ennever three hundred pounds other part thereof.To my daughter Elizabeth Ennever three hundred pounds other part thereof. And the residue I give to my said wife Ann Ennever for her own use and in case any or either of my said three children shall die under the age of twenty oneyears, then I give the share or shares of him, her or them so dying of and in the said bank annuities unto the survivors or survivor of them equally share and share alike and payable at the age aforesaid. All the rest and residue of my goods, chattels, personal estate and effects whatsoever, I give to my said wife Ann Ennever for her own use, and I nominate and appoint my said wife Ann Ennever and my friend Mr John Aroroator, executor and executrix of this my will and guardians of my children during their minority and I give to the said John Aroroator ten pounds for his care and trouble therein. In witness whereof I have thereunto set my hand and seal the seventeenth day of February one thousand and ninety three. The mark of Roger Ennever.
       
      Signed, sealed,published and declared by the said Roger Ennever, the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses to the same. John Windus, Phillip Handman, Benjamin Seer.
       
      In the prerogative court of Canterbury, in the goods of Roger Ennever otherwise Enever (deceased) 24th Feb 1805, appeared personally William Bazaire of Loughton in the county of Essex, esquire, and made oath that he knew and was well acquainted with Roger Enever late of Loughton aforesaid, deceased, for many years before, and to the time of his death, that the said deceased was unable to write or read as this deponent varily believes, and he well knows the family or surname of the said deceased is usually written Enever and during his life this deponent caused stock in the public funds to be purchased for the said deceased which is now standing in his name of Roger Enever in the books of the governor and company of the Bank of England and that notwithstanding the premises the surname of the said deceased was sometimes written Ennever and the same is so written in the last will and testament of the said deceased and in the probate thereof and the deponent lastly made oath that he well knows Roger Enever of Loughton in the county of Essex as disposed in the books of the governor and company of the Bank of England and Roger Ennever late of Loughton in the county of Essex deceased as described in the probate of the will of the said deceased under the seal of this court was one and the same person and not divers Wm Bazire on the day aforesaid, the said William Bazire, Esquire was duly sworn to the truth of this affidavit before me George Ogilvie, surrogate (prest perrot fouten-- puo).
       
      This will was proved at London the twenty ninth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four before the worshipful George Ogilvie, Doctor and surrogate of the right honourable Sir William Wynne, knight also doctor of laws, master keeper or commissary of the prerogative court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Ann Ennever, widow, the relic and John Aroroator the executors named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods, charges and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.
