Hi my name is Mavis Bayliss Symonds, I am the daughter of Stanley Bayliss, granddaughter of Joseph Henry Bayliss,Great Granddaughter of Benjamin Bayliss and Johanna Tuso/Tuzo and through Johanna gg granddaughter of Joseph Tuso/Tuzo and Rebecca Golsby Dear.
I have been searching for information on Joseph Tuso/Tuzo and Rebecca for a many years. Namely to find out why the name was spelt with an S and a Z. Also where the name originated and where Joseph Tuso/Tuzo was born and where his parents were born. There are so many stories in Australia about these two elusive figures, including Joseph was Italian, he was Jewish, he was a 'black man' forgive the political incorectness, but that is what I have read in some family accounts.
If anyone can help me with where to look for Joseph's beginnings in England and whether or not his parents were English or came to England from overseas I would be grateful. I believe his parents names were John and Eleanor Tuso/Tuzo.
If anyone can help I would be grateful, I have just read an old newspaper clipping that suggests my Joseph was from Cornwall.
Regards and thanks Mavis Bayliss Symonds

Barry. I have been a member of this website for quite a little while and still find it fasinating. I would like to know if there is any truth in the story of my great grandfather going to Australia to 'find gold'(throwing away family inheritance in the process) and consequently being disinherited by his own father. One of my 'closest' living family (Enever) seems to be Thomas Debrisay Enever who is a simialr age to me; wondered if he knows anything???

Hi,
A truly marvellous website, well done, I have an extremely tenuous link to your family, by way of Martha Sweetnam who was my G.G.G.Grandfather's sister, who married a Warne whose son subsequently married into the Ennver family. Not sure if I can answer any of your specific questions but I can provide info on the Sweetnam/man family.
Thanks
Stuart

what a fantastic site with such an amazing amount of research. I am decended through Daniel Inman, the 2nd husband of Rebecca Enever. I thought that the Inmans were a huge family, but its clear that I have some way to go yet.
Thanks

I started to plot my family tree on Ancestry and every search I wanted to make took me to the subscription screen and I really don't have the time to get the value from it. I then typed my grandfather's name (Wiiliam Frederick James Sewell)into Google and came across this truely awe inspiring site. My great great grandfather is Daniel Barnard, whose wife was Ellen Enever.

Amazing site and information! Have been writing my mother's story. Her mother was a Hutchison..there was a marriage to a Buchanan and then the link to Mary Ennever. It was so exciting to follow the links. I will have lots of interesting times ahead having a closer look and my mum will be so interested. Thank you!

I'm hoping that the Selina Haines listed on your site might end up being my Grandmother.
Barry Ennever Saturday, 23 July 2011 11:37
The Selina Haines b1884 in Bale was in domestic service in the UK in 1911 so unfortunately isn't the Selina who married Medley Alcorn as they had had several children in Canada before 1911.

I am so excited to have found your site Barry. You have done some incredible research. I am glad to have helped you solve the puzzle of some of the descendents of John William Morris. His son Herbert Rhodes immigrated to Canada and then purchased land in Sask. (formerly the NWT). I have heard many wonderful stories about this man from his son (my grandfather) Herbert Enever Cavendish Morris and from my mother Mary Patricia Holloway (Morris). My grandfather had three daughters but my mother was the only one to have children. Since there were no more male descendants she named my brother Morris Holloway. I am excited to continue learning more as I peruse your site.

Great web site. I stumbled upon it by accident. I am a granddaughter of Percy Alexander Enever. My maiden name is Enever. There is so much interesting information on each individual Enever.

Hi Barry
I stumbled across your website via the ancestry.com website.
This has been a great help in giving me information on my family. Have found it very hard to get information on the enever side of the family.
I am the grand-daughter of Thelma Jean Frantz Nee Enever. She is daughter of George Edwin Enever and Emily Hannah Enever Nee Sawyer.
Would love any pictures if you know where I can get some or if you or anyone else has any.
Regards,
Kylie
