I John Ennever of South Ockenden in the County of Essex Cont
being now in good health of body and of perfect Sound Mind
Memory and understanding do make Declare and
publish this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and
form following, that is to say, I Give and bequeath unto my
Dear Wife Mary One hundred pounds of lawful money of
Great Britain to be paid unto her out of my personal Estate
within Ten Days most after my Decease  I also give and
bequeath unto her all such amounts and arrears of Rent
of my Real Estate that shall or may be outstanding and
due to me at the time of my decease  And also all my
Dividends Interest and produce of all my Stock and
Securities for Money whatsoever that shall be due at
the time of my Decease  And I also give and bequeath
unto her One half pint Silver Mugg One large Silver
Soup Spoon One Silver pepper box One Silver Milk
Pot Seven Silver Table Spoons Eight Silver Tea spoons
One Pair of Silver Tea Tongs and Strainer One fine
Damask Table Cloth Six Damask Napkins One Pair of
fine holland Stools Two pair of fine holland pillow biers
Two pair of Common Stools and three other pillow biers
One White Bed Quilt for own Chest of Drawers and
one of my best ffeather Beds to be of her own choice  Six
China Cups and Saucers Twenty one China Blue and White
Plates One Mahogany Tea Chest three China Muggs
with the Effigies of the king of prusia painted thereon and
Twenty Six of my best pewter plates  Item I give and
Bequeath unto my two friends the Reverend W George
Beauchamp of South Ockenden aforesaid Clerk and
Christopher Tyler of Daggenham in the said County
Gentleman and to the Survivor of them and to the Extors
and Admons of such Survivor of All my Bank Annuity Stocks
and all other my Stocks in the publish ffunds In Trust that
they or the Survivor of them or the Executors or Admons of
such Survivor do and Shall permit and Suffer my said Wife
Mary and her Afsigns during the Term of her Natural life
To receive the Dividends Interest and produce thereof to
And for her and their own use And from and after her
Decease Then In Trust that they my said Trustees and the
Survivor of them and the Executors and Admons of such
Survivor Do and Shall survive the Dividends Interest
And produce thereof and pay a Moeity or half part of
The same share to each of my two Daughters Ann the Wife of
Samuel Dudfield and Sarah the Wife of Samuel Johnson
And not to either of their present or after taken husbands.
But into each of their own proper hands or to each of their
Order during their respective Natural lives  And I Do
Will Order and Direct that the Receipt and Receipts of
My Said Daughters and each of them notwithstand their
{?} or of their respective Order shall be from
Time to time a full and Effectual Discharge both in Law and
Equity to my said Trustees and the Survivor of them and the
Executors and Admons of such Survivor  And from and
After the Decease of either of my said Daughters Then In
Trust that my said Trustees and the Survivor of them and
The Executors and Admons of such Survivor do and shall
Transfer Sell or otherwise Assign or Dispose of a Moiety
Or half part of my said Stocks and pay Divide and distribute
The same to and amongst her children equally (if more
Than one) Share and Share alike  And if but one then to such
Only Child his or her Executors and Admons  And that the
Dividends Interest and Produce of the other remaining
Moeity of my said Stocks shall continue and be paid to
The Survivor of my said Two Daughters during her life
in manner as aforesaid  And from and Imediately after
her decease Then In Trust that my said Trustees or the
Survivor of them or the Executors or Admons of such
Survivor do and Shall Imediately Transfer Sell or
otherwise Assign or Dispose of the other remaining
Moiety or half part of my said Stocks and pay Divide
And Distribute the same to and amongst the Children
Of such of my Surviving Daughter Equally if more than
One Share and Share alike And if but one then to such
Only Child his or her Executors and Admons  Item I Give
And Devise unto the said George Beauchamp and Christr
Tyler and their heirs All and Singular my Real Estate
Whatsoever and wheresoever In Trust to and for the
Several Uses Intents and purposes hereinafter mentioned
(that is to say) To the Use and behoof of my said Wife Mary
For and during the Term of her Natural life And from
And Imediately after her Decease To the Use and behoof
Of my Eldest Son John for and during the Term of his
Natural life and from and after that Determination of
that Estate To the Use and behoof of the said George
Beauchamp and Christopher Tyler and their heirs for
and during the life of my said Eldest Son John neverthelefs
to permit and Suffer my said Eldest Son John and his
afsigns to take and Receive the Rents Issues and profits
of my said Real Estate for and during that Term of his
Natural life and from and after his Decease To the use
And behoof of the first Son of the Body of my said Eldest
Son lawfully ifsuing and to the Heirs Male of the Body
Of such first Son lawfully Ifsuing And for Default of
Such Ifsue To the Use and behoof of the Second Son of my
Said Eldest Son John lawfully ifsuing and to the Heirs
Male of the Body of such Second Son of my said Eldest
Son John lawfully ifsuing  And for Default of such Ifsue
To the Use and behoof of the third fourth fifth Sixth Seventh
And all and every other Son and Sons of my Said Eldest Son
John lawfully ifsuing Severally and Succefsively one after
Another in Order and Course as they shall be in Seniority
Of Age and priority of Birth and of the Several Heirs
Male of their Several and respective Bodies lawfully
Ifsuing as aforesaid the Elder of the said Sons and the
Heirs Male of his Body being always to be preferred before
The younger of Such Sons and the Heirs Male of their
Bodies  And for Default of such Ifsue To the Use and
behoof of all and every the Daughter and Daughters of
my said Eldest Son John as Tenants in Common and not
as Joint Tenants and the Heirs of their Several and
respective Bodies lawfully to be begotten  And for
Default of such Ifsue To the Use and behoof of my
Youngest Son Joseph Ennever his Heirs and Afsigns
For ever  Item  I Give and bequeath unto my Youngest
Son Joseph Ennever All my Ready Money Leases Stock
Cropp And all the Rest and residue of my whole personal
Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore
Particularly Disposed of  And make him my whole and
Sole Residuary Legatee  And I do Nominate and Appoint
My said two friends George Beauchamp and Christopher
Tyler Executors of this my last Will and Testament   And
Also Testamentary Guardian of my said youngest son
Joseph Ennever till his arrival at the Age of Twenty
One years  And I Give to each of my said Trustees and
Executors Ten Guineas apiece for their Trouble in the
Execution of the Several Trusts by me in them reposed
Hereby revoking Annulling and making void all other
Wills by me at any time heretofore made And Do
Declare this to be my true and only last Will
And Testament In Witness whereof I have to this my last
Will and Testament containing two Sheets of paper
set my hand and Seal the Twenty Eighth day of January
In the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred

as his last Will and Testament in our presence and
by us attested in his presence and at his request and in

This Will was proved at London, the first
Day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven
hundred and sixty two before the Worshipful George
Harris Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful
Sir Edward Simpson knight also Doctor of Laws Master
keeper or commissary of the Prerogative Court of
Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Christopher
Tyler one of the Executors named in the said Will to whom
administration was Granted of all and singular the Goods
Chattels and Credits of the deceased he having been first
Sworn duly to administer (power reserved of making
the like Grant to the Reverend George Beauchamp
Clerk the other Executor when he Shall apply for the same).
